About Me
I'm born and raised in Iceland with an Icelandic father and Scottish mother. Our home has always been an open couch surfing place even many years before couchsurfing.com existed. My parents were voluntary workers in many parts of the world for many years and my mother is the president of the ex-pat club in Iceland and so tends to help out many immigrants. Our house is often like the United Nations. I have one younger brother and a younger foster sister living at home in Akranes and a half brother living in Reykjavik.
I'm very easy going and want to learn about other cultures. I am interested in computers. I've also learned how to repair cars and like to restore vintage cars.
My family run an Icelandic souvenir candy company and I help out in that sometimes.
I have a Cockateal named Josefina Baker.
I like to do things differently from the regular way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I finished my college studies and achieved Studentspróf but am taking a year off to decide what branch of computer studies I will study at university and what country and universities I want to apply to. So in the meantime I wish to travel as much of the world as I can. I will be starting in Halifax, Canada on the 22nd September 2015 and then we shall see where I go from there!
Update: Spent 7 weeks traveling in Canada by bicycle. I've spent the last week in the USA and am currently cycling down the east coast, probably until the 3rd week in December where I will then fly over to Europe and travel about there for a few months.
