Grew up in a small, SW MN agricultural town in the 60's; two brothers, mom a nurse, dad a mechanic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like being places where the people around me are not like me. This makes me humble as I try to fit in respectfully while representing my country.

Interests

I enjoy being active and outdoors as much as possible. Biking, hiking, camping, snow shoeing and skiing, working with plants in my yard, crafts and fix-up projects are some of my interests.

Those things, around a traveling schedule is my idea of living.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled around the amazing countries of Viet Nam and Cambodia. The state of Alaska is similarly transendent.
I taught elementary school for 32 years!
