À propos de moi

Hi there!
My name is Nam, I am 24 years old and currently live in Düsseldorf, Germany. I finished my Bachelors Degree in 2018 and started working the same year in the Automotive Industry.

When I'm not able to travel, I usually enjoy bouldering and climbing. Besides that I just have ordinary hobbies like everyone else. I recently bought a camera and hope to get to use it more often in the future.

I love to get to strange places and get to know people. Always curious about new cultures and far places.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Altough I love to get know new people, it's sometimes quite difficult for me to approach strangers. A friend of mine recommended me Couchsurfing, so I can start my trip with a new friend right away.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

The most stimulating movies I have seen were Intouchables and Fight Club. Besides that I listen to a lot of electronic music. Current favorite artists are Above&Beyond, Eric Prydz and Arty.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One of the most memorable stories of mine was when I was traveling in New Orleans. I met a group of girls in the hostel and they offered me a ride to Houston the next day, which was the next stop on my plan. The morning I woke up, I realized that they left without me. Having luck, there was another guy in the Hostel who was planning to go to Houston later the same day. We exchanged numbers and agreed to meet the hostel in the afternoon.

Afternoon arriving, I was sitting in the hostel, but no one was coming. My new driver neither picked up the phone, nor showed any signs that he might come. I was already mentally prepared to extend my stay in NOLA as flights were incredibly expensive and a bus ride would take ridiculous amount of time. Not wanting to give up, I decided to tramp to Houston. So the guys in the hostel provided me some cardboard and a sharpie.

20 minutes later I was standing there. Waiting for a car to stop is not fun. Around 1 hour passes by without a car stopping. Suddenly I can see flashing lights and a car honking. The car stopped. It was him. The guy from the hostel. He told me that his meeting took much longer than expected and that he rushed back to the hostel to look after me. He then proceeded to check all the highway ramps close to the hostel to keep his word. Well, thats how I got to Houston. Thanks Eli, I'll never forget that day.
