About Me

Hey! My name is Natalinia, however, everyone says Nana, so lets stick with that.
I live in the Netherlands, in Amstelveen, a smaller village next to the capital city Amsterdam.

I've finished highschool now and have a whole gap year to spend now. It's the perfect timing to get to know more about the world. Time to become Dora the explorer! So that's what I'm trying to do.

I love discovering new things, mostly when they're original or a bit different (maybe even strange) than the daily things in life. Furthermore, I love dancing, singing, making fashion and am planning to start sportive poledancing.

I am still looking for a study next year. Maybe a fashion study, but I could end up with a law study on the university as well. Or maybe something entirely different. So far I love the idea of the fashion study the most, but I'm still keeping my eyes open for other ideas.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've just gratuated from high school and I'm having a gap-year now.
I've been wanting to go to Portugal my whole life, but yet, never been there. So I thought I'd make a change this time. The reason why: I'm half-Portuguese and half-Dutch. Since I grew up in the Netherlands I already know a lot about the Dutch culture. However I'm still wondering about the Portuguese side that's hiding in me.

I figured, what could possibly be a better way to get to know Portugal than to live with Portugese people for a couple of days? It's perfect for leurning more about te culture, standards, language and country itself. Soooo... Couchsurfing, here I am.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music. Pop, rock, alternative and so on.
For movies goes the same thing. It just depends on the mood. A thriller-/horrormovie is perfect on a dark night. A comedy to get a good laugh. Etcetera.
Then there's books. I mostly like books for relaxation. Or magazines...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Thailand: Jumping off a waterfall and ending up in a lake filled with fish that eat dead bodycells. It tickled.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach whatever is within my abilities.
I'd love to learn more about the Portuguese culture.
Share as many things as possible.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well.. If the languages meet, we can talk of course!
I can share some things about the Dutch culture.
I can cook (random food, or Dutch food).
I'd love to go out and explore together.

Countries I’ve Visited
