About Me

People call me open, crazy, shy, mature, curious, natural, perfectionist, good-hearted, naive, organized, strong, courageos, honest, creative, .... Hmm, I guess each has a piece of truth to it...

After growing up in many very different places and a year of being a volunteer during which I felt as free as never before, I am now more settled at one place to do my apprenticeship. I work in a "Gärtnerei" ( like a farm, we produce organic vegetables, but we don't have any animals) in a nearby village and come home only in the evening.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Living in a city which is not very beautiful on first sight ( sorry Bielefeld!), I came to realize that what is really important about a city is the people. We influence what happens in our place and create a special atmosphere.
And thats what travelers want to see, right?
Traveling as such is a chance to meet different people and learn how they see the world. Its also about special places, but who might possibly know them better that someone who lives in the city?
I made the experience that having visitors also makes me question my town and see it from another side - and had some surprises :)
So afterall, its all about getting in touch: with people and places.

I wish that we would all act in a way that there wasn't such a great need for mistrust. And for there to be more trust, we need to act trustworthy. A nice couchsurfing experience also proves that there are great people who are not only trustworthy but also share their home and possibly much more!

Interests

Walking through forest, breathing fresh air.. Or smelling the scent of different vegetables and herbs that are transformed into a mouthwatering meal on the stove. Those are just two of the everyday joys I love

Others are laughing out loud with good friends or having really impressing conversations with strangers on buses, trains, the street or whereever we meet :) Seeing how other people live and what impresses them. Learning everyday how diverse life on earth is.

Teach, Learn, Share

Its all about sharing! Who knows what he/she is going to share with someone who is yet to become a companion? I don't.
But as a good friend said: The great thing about sharing is that it has two joys: The joy of giving to an other, seeing that he/she can make good use of something I have. And the joy of receiving in times we need something :D
