About Me
CURRENT MISSION
lay on the couch, sleep, read books for fun, be 24 again
ABOUT ME
Full time grad student and mom. I've traveled to every state in the US except: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and New Mexico. I ride a Buell Blast. Love to learn and can absolutely not live without coffee. This summer I'll be finishing my masterâ
PHILOSOPHY
Still working on it :) Mostly I just try to be nice, be a good citizen, take care of my family and stay healthy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We love the National Great Rivers Museum at Melvin Price Locks and Dam (free and cool)on the Mississippi River, the St. Louis Zoo (awesome zoo and free!), and The City Museum (nothing else like it in the world, expensive but worth it). Let us know if you are in the area we can show you around. If you like to ride, let me know, maybe we can ride up the River Road to Grafton and stop by Fast Eddies on the way.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have slept on many couches in my life. Looking forward to sleeping on a few more.
Interests
Like to ride motorcycles. Knitting, spinning, shoe and bootmaking. Very interested in learning about shearing, carding, combing and preparing wool for spinning. I like to geocache and someday want to go treasure hunting.

Music, Movies, and Books
I LOVE books, never want to give them back to library, and may set library fine records in several towns. My sons give me lots of great recomendations, and we love to listen to books on tape while we travel. Have to admit though, I may poke my eyes out if I have to read another text book. Can't wait to read for fun again.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sat in the cockpit of a P-3 Orion on approach to O'ahu, beautiful! Took a rickety water taxi from Kowloon to Hong Kong, frightening. Saw the inside of Daibutsu, amazing. Camped in Thermopolis, Wyoming with my sons, fun! Hiked the bluffs in Giant City State Park with my sons, fun!
Teach, Learn, Share
Things I know how to do: knit, spin, sew, ride motorcycle, microsatellite DNA analysis, geochache, use a GPS and a metal detector. I know how to make soap and enchaladas. My kids think my pancakes are good.
Things I want to learn: shoe making, wood working
