About Me
Hi there -
My name is Nancy! Born and raised in India till about 8 years old, so you can imagine my cultural shock when I moved to Los Angeles, California. Since then, I lived among the sunny beaches, palm trees, tanned faces and everything Hollywood till about 7 months ago. After graduating college, I moved to San Francisco to explore that side of the town with my new job! I worked there for a short period of time, and became that person I never thought I'd be: quit work and travel till I'm broke.
While I love this country, I've decided to give LA, SF and all of America a rest for a while, and explore a bit more of the world. I went back to India for the first time in 14 years in December, and touching Europe for the first time. EVER.
I am excited for the journey, the challenges that lie ahead and for the growth.
-----
My best friend, Tanya, and I are now backpacking through Europe and wanting to meet as many locals as we can along the way.
So far we've made it to:
~ Dublin, Ireland
~ London, U.K.
~ Paris, France
~ Heidelberg, Germany
This trip has been insanely awesome and the people we've met have such beautiful souls. We cannot be more grateful for this opportunity and the privilege of being able to travel so much! I hope that we can meet along the way, and we can talk about how crazy U.S. politics is now️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Often scoring 90-95% extrovert on Myers-Briggs personality test, I am big fan of humans over robots. I thrive on in-person conversations because I believe there's more to a person than what meets the eye; my love language is quality time and I enjoy learning new cultures - especially ones that are difficult for mainstream to understand. All that being said, I am on the verge of exploring this world and I want to see it honestly and through it's people. Couch-surfing allows for the authentic human interactions that otherwise isn't available on a normal given day.
