I grew up in the L.A. area and went to college in San Diego. I studied abroad for two semesters in Sydney, Australia, and traveled to Thailand and Cambodia while I was there, as well as up the coast and scuba dived in the great barrier reef! After college, I spent six months in Medellin, Colombia, co-teaching English with a local at public school. I am not fluent in Spanish at all but I'm conversational, although I think I have lost a lot already since that was almost two years ago. For the past year and a half, I have been working at a b2b magazine about the nail industry. It's a lot of fun to constantly be working with beauty professionals because everyone is very creative and passionate, although I totally don't mind/enjoy getting my hands dirty!

Lately, I like to go to music festivals, goo hiking, work out, cook healthy meals, drink wine with friends, go to yoga on the bluff by my house, and have also been taking lots of acting classes - everything from improv to stand up to scene study. It's a lot of fun to put yourself out there. I'm also trying to learn more about video!

My personality is laid back and easy to get along with. I can be talkative sometimes or slightly more reserved depending on my mood, but the majority of the time I'm pretty outgoing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing to meet new people and see new places with friendly and open minded locals. I think it's such an interesting opportunity that people overlook and I'm very intrigued by meeting locals and seeing the city/town/area through their eyes.
