I'd like to see the world from a more personal view, through the lens of people who live in those particular areas. Staying in an individual's home rather than a hotel or hostel is an entirely different experience.

Plus the cost-efficiency is quite the benefit. :)

In Madrid I bought a 1/2 kilo cookies from the back door of a convent in an alleyway. But they really were cookies and they really were from a nun, despite the misleading plastic bag which contained them.
