I'm a 44 year old single woman who is reinventing herself after a difficult divorce. Though I have been through very adverse times in my life, they have served as a catalyst for inner change and have lead to my re-discovering myself and reinventing my life to better suit who I am and what I need.

Those who meet me say I am very warm and easy to get along with. I can seem shy at first, however when people get to know me, most people say I have a very magnetic and outgoing personality. I guess it sometimes just takes the right situation (or people) to bring it out ;)

I live by the virtues of being authentic, showing love, kindness, and compassion to those I meet, and trying not to "sweat the small stuff".

My former career as a social worker, along with my spiritual awakening, have shown me there is both beauty and suffering in the world and I am hoping to help heal that suffering and make this world a better place ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend of mine has been using couchsurfing for many years in order to travel on a budget. I am planning to couch surf during an upcoming trip to my intended new home ;)

At present, I am unable to host couchsurfers in my town due to the fact that I have a small studio apartment and don't have a place for anyone else to sleep. However, if I am available, I'd love to show you around.

Music, Movies, and Books

hmm...I have many favorites so its hard to narrow it down. As for music, my favorite genres are classic rock, blues, and funk. Movie wise I tend to watch independent or foreign films, as well as documentaries and comedies. As for books, I generally like non fiction relating to the human condition, self improvement, and spirituality.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While working in social work and health education, I won a national award from a non profit organization for teaching young school aged children about mental health as part of a campaign to de-stigmatize mental illness and encourage children to obtain help.

hmmm..i will have to think on this one more, however right now I am very interested in the ancient native american origins of various sacred sites in the united states, including South Dakota and Arkansas. I'm hoping to make Arkansas my new home in the near future ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very trustworthy and responsible person. As part of my pet sitting business, I offer house sitting. where I care for both someone's pets and their home on a short term or long term basis. As my clients will attest to, I take excellent care of both!
