Hubby and I are newly empty nesters, though our adult childrean occassional work remote from our home. Our home includes senior dog Ellie, cat Tommy and sometimes a few foster kitties.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Friends and family are always coming to stay with us. Why not expand our life experiences by hosting couchsurfing members? I have CS'ed myself several times in the Orlando area while visiting my elderly mom in a nursing home. We have also hosted several international students passing through Philly.

We require you to be current on your Covid-19 vaccines. So please only request to stay if you are up-to-date.

Intereses

We are an active family enjoying all types of exercise including running, biking, hiking, rollerblading, skiing, ping pong, just about anything outside. I volunteer as a Board Member at the Lower Swedish Cabin, at our Lutheran Church and local Lansdowne events.

One favorite movie is Silver Linings Playbook, filmed in and around my town! I'm excited to start reading again and maybe join my first book club now that I have more free time. Also plan to start sewing again.

I was an exchange student to Norrbotten, Sweden in 1980 and have visited my family and friends there several times. I love Swedish culture and am always looking for opportunities to practice my Swedish and Spanish. Perhaps we can cook together if our schedules permit.

You'll find our location just 1.5 miles from West Philadelphia to be very accessible by transit. Also easy access to Philadelphia International Airport and Philadelphia's 30th Street station. We're happy to make suggestion for historic, sport or just just things to do. Maybe you'd like to borrow a bike and check out our pretty Victorian neighborhood with its amazing (and friendly) coffee shop/bakery, live music bar, vinyl record store and restaurants.
