ABOUT ME

I work in Oil and Gas.. which is pretty the default for anyone living in Houston but I actually enjoy it. I am outgoing and really enjoy venturing out of my comfort zone.

I love food! Every type of cuisine. I've been trying to master how to cook them as well so that it's cost effective.. I get to eat more of it! Never did say that I was great at cooking though, it's the effort that counts though, right?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's been a long time since I've couchsurfed and really want to get involved again. I've never had a bad experience and I love meeting new people.

I first started surfing a few years ago in Switzerland- Lucerne and Genova and had such great experiences. It definitely changed my perspective of people.

Interests

Number one interest: Food, I definitely live to eat. Wouldn't have it any other way. I love trying different cuisines.

Trying to exercise: I usually hate cardio but I've picked up spin the last two years and I love it. Apparently I'm one of those people that must pay someone to motivate me to be in shape. When the weather allows in Houston, I like to play tennis.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies/TV - my jam. I'm so pleased that they are creating all these great tv shows that allow me to binge because I'm naturally an introvert so I enjoy having time to myself to just be entertained - I've been watching the Americans, Goliath, Stranger Things, Orphan Black, This is Us (who doesn't like a good cry every once in a while - oh the feels)

Books: I'll be honest.. I just keep rereading the Harry Potter series when I'm traveling. I did venture out recently and read the Girl on the Train. I love reading but I just don't make the time for it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Egypt and while in Luxor, I was able to see the sunrise during a hot air balloon ride. The view was breathtaking as I was able to see fields, valley of the kings, valley of the queen, temple of Hatshepsut!

I can definitely let you know things to do (especially where to eat) in Houston, TX and Austin, TX. I'm huge into exploring and try to keep busy when I'm able.
