About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to seek beyond the mondane

ABOUT ME

an ever-changing, re-arranging life force that has a great case of wonderlust. i have many stories...all true and love to smile...a lot. there isn't anyone that i can't find some kindness in or compassion...i just love people and find so many fascinating. i am a seeker of the good and hunt for my self continously...i am contemplative, zen like, with a kind spirit and have been refered to as a sage...my inspiration is that i become a fullblown sage by the time in am 80 or learn ballroom dancing...whichever is cool

PHILOSOPHY

i am healthy, fit, fun, creative artist by choice and a living,
can look at you deeply and am very insightful,
have an infectious smile, smart and can be a smart ass as well...
am working on inner peace,
a minamalist by choice,
seeker of truth and a deeper sense of spirituality,
vegetarian and mostly raw,
reading several books right now, one of which is about kabbalah,
not jewish but do find the community beautiful

Music, Movies, and Books

i love to read so i will try and add when i can of recent stuff...and am into personal discovery stories or journals from travels...i just finished
"Wild", by Cheryl Strayed...highly recommend this for all you wonderlust, especially hikers (she walks the PCT)
"Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse, inspirationaly awesome...
Mary Beth Bond's "Gutsy Women" i could read a hundred times and highly recommend it, especially for women travelers going at it alone...
"A gift from the sea" by Anne Morrow Lindberg is to savor slowly during deep contemplative solitude...i absolutely recommend this short book when you need to reflect a deeper sense of who you are and why you seek.
And for you lovely ladies who feel stuck and need to change your life desperately, read "Women who love too much," and then pack your bags!
as far as music...i am a true lover and really enjoy live music with great company...but by myself, find i listen to meditaion stuff or stream KGSR...depends on the mood...I can't seem to watch TV for the fact nothing interests me...however, am a hugh admirer of movies...especially foreign and independent films...last summer, i laid down under a redwood tree and found more enlightenment than any movie, book or music could give

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i painted a mural in an orphanage in johannesburg, africa...i have seen many things in my lifetime...but to be in soweto right after the bill got passed to allow the people of the township to have their own business...was amazing...

to discover the beauty and sadness of buda-pest

snake oil pedlers all in black on the side of the road...while driving six weeks in mexico and the diversity from the lack/abundance of money

marfa lights and the haunted hotel of west texas

cowboy that knew billy the kid in new mexico

taos mountains

ocean fishing

Teach, Learn, Share

i am a lifelong student of many things...however, my strenghts are coaching and art...some buddist stuff i can get by with...mostly, just good ol' fashion wise knowledge on what i have picked up...i can help with most any task and do find pleasure in work...
