About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a visual story-teller by profession, currently living in a kind of hermitage next to a wonderful forest in Hungary. Time by time I jump into the unknown and travel or move to a different country, to challenge my beliefs and get inspired by the sounds, smell, sights of an unfamiliar place.
Apart from my native Hungary, I have studied and lived in five different countries so far, tried the village, the city, the farm lifestyle, and throughout these years, couchsurfing has always helped me connecting with new places and people.

PHILOSOPHY

respect the complexity of life

Music, Movies, and Books

I can't keep track of favourites so here is a list of recent films, books and music that i loved:
films:
HUMAN - the most beautiful and most impactful perhaps
all films by Naoko Ogigami - I love her careless, joyful world of wonders
Meduzot (Jellyfish) - an israeli film that inspires my current 'floating attitude'...
films by Asghar Farhadi - a genious of everyday drama
films by Tarkovsky - have to watch them time by time as a form of meditation

music: currently listening a lot of
Dhafer Youssef, Javid Afsari, Kayhan Kalhor, Axiom Of Choice, Balmorhea, Portico Quartet, Asaf Avidan, Arve Henriksen, Erik Satie, Zoë Keating

currently reading
Journey to the East and Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse, Kahlil Gibran, Thus spoke Zarathustra from Nietzsche, The letters of al-Arabi ad-Darqawi, books that deal with possible connections between modern physics and spirituality, and some self help books in the psychology field.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I believe the most amazing thing is not when I do something, but when this 'I' finally stops doing anything. When this 'I' disappears in the vastness of nature, or when I forget about myself in the eye of a fellow being. When it's not me who is dancing but the dance that is dancing me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can share our knowledge about permaculture gardening, about straw bale house construction, we can play some music together, and listen to each other's stories.
