Overview
About Me
About Us! Adventuring together (:
We're lively and personable people, easy to get on with. Learners at heart and likely to ask questions, but also very good at reading people and respecting their own space.
Nanda is a journalist, a language teacher and a free spirit who doesn't have a problem with being silly every now and then. Or clumsy. She's quite clumsy, actually.
Chelle is a bit more of an introvert but equally passionate about learning and discovering. Hugely empathetic and helpful. Like every Irish person, she hates "causing hassle".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
**Currently on the move, so only surfing for a while**
We're on Couchsurfing because life kicked us out of our comfort zone. Now we want to see more of the world without letting our salaries be an obstacle. There's more to life than a Mon to Fri schedule and we want to check it all out before the settling down vibes kick in.
Interests
We enjoy meeting people, having the LOLs and engaging in conversations that range from 'the meaning of life' to 'should we put ketchup on pizzas or nay'.
We love gigs and crowd just as much as we love sofa and takeaway. Whatever we're up to is weather dependent. We're easy to please, interested in getting to know new places, new flavours, new dances, new music, new stories, new everything!
Nanda is a die-hard feminist and HP fan and Chelle's worst nightmare is a life with no music.

Music, Movies, and Books
We are more commercial than we'd like to admit, but pretty much into anything that sparks curiosity and has a good bass drop. We are nosy and experiment with styles in every aspect of life (:
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Nanda has left Brazil for the first time to learn English in Dublin and now is fully and officially accredited to teach the language to other foreign nationals from everywhere in the world. She's discovered a passion that allows her to share with others what she has learnt, and get a sneak-peak of their culture and values while she can't go visit their country and see for herself.
Chelle has dived both in the skies and under the sea, and personally prefers the second one. She tried sky-diving to overcome her fear of heights (still there) and under water to explore and see things we can never see in land. She had a stare-off with an eel. She also completed a foundation level Counselling Course without having a breakdown, which is more challenging than you'd think.
Teach, Learn, Share
Nanda can teach English and Portuguese; samba, forró, and how to make Brigadeiros; how to not feel too self conscious when wearing a hat, and how to perform a pretty good cafuné :D She's also trying to get started on learning Italian and would love to play the "pandeiro" her sister gave to her a few birthdays ago.
Chelle is learning Portuguese and has the secret dream of being an awesome drummer. She hasn't started that yet. She can teach you the official language of the Emerald Isle (which I bet you didn't know it's Gaeilge and not English), how to crawl like a baby croc and make orange and watermelon vodka jellies - in the shape of actual orange and watermelon.
