I am currently working as a video producer at The Koreatimes online newspaper. For the past 3.5 years, I have been studying and working in Seoul, South Korea. Before that, I have lived in Florence, Italy (for 2 years). I was studying Culinary arts ("Food and everything related to it" in simple words). I did an exchange year in Germany in high school. I love learning languages and most of the time you will find me trying to communicate with a LOT of hand movement (no, it's not because I have lived in Italy) even if I am fluent in the language because it has just become a habit of mine from the early language learning days. I love cooking (obviously) and exploring and learning about different cultures and their foods. I am a very easygoing and adjusting person. Once I get comfortable with someone, I will not stop talking. I eat everything and love cooking for others (makes me feel accomplished when I manage to bring smiles to other people's faces when they eat my food).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a traveler: Travelling to a new place without getting to know a local is very limiting. I am not a big fan of going to touristy places. I would rather spend my day how the locals would spend and eat delicious food with them. More than the history of a place, I find everyday life more interesting.

As a host: "If I cannot travel the world, the world could travel to me" - Just something I made up. What could be more beautiful than meeting people from around the world, sharing stories, sharing food, sharing your lives; even if for a short period of time? And Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to experience all of it! Knowing that you might be adding something to someone's travels, someone's life, even just something really small that brings that little joy in their lives, is one of the best feelings, and its those little happy moments that keep me going :)

Interests

I am a foodie. I cook pretty good meals and I like to go in depth about food. It's not just about the things we are eating, it's about the story behind them which gives them life and it's these stories that I am out to discover. I also love making videos and capturing everyday lives and food!

Tv series - The Office, Friends, Parks and Recreations, HIMYM, Brooklyn 99, GoT, New Girl, Suits, and a ton of K-Drama I also happen to watch a lot of Korean variety shows like 신서유기.

I have left my home more than once to live abroad for a relatively long time before i turned 20.

I can teach English, Italian, Hindi, Korean and COOKING (Indian, Italian and anything you want)
Learning languages and food is priority. But open to learn anything that i can :D
