About Me
Before you request hosting:
• Minimum 2 references
• No empty profiles
• 5 days in advance minimum; no short-notice requests
• Read my profile until the end before requesting :)
What I love about Couchsurfing are very personal experiences, travelers sharing a little bit of a their life with the hosts and getting a deeper perspective from the place – not just looking for a floor to crash. That's not my thing.
Generic requests with no mention of anything personal, or why you think I would enjoy hosting you, will be immediately rejected. People with bare profiles will too.

If you got this far, please start your request message with "Hello hawk" :)

Hello, I'm nando.
I'm from a lot of places. Born and raised in São Paulo, spent my twenties in the US and been in Berlin since 2012, where young people come to retire. I am, however, far from retired.
I work as a freelance interactive designer, coming up with interfaces for applications and websites, which I absolutely love.
Traveling is a passion and i try to judge each culture in its own context. I'm a big language nerd so I may bug you nonstop about your fascinating language (they're all fascinating to me).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet locals when I'm visiting a city; sometimes just a cup of coffee with a local can change your experience completely. If we hit it up (and you have time), maybe we can spend more time together and I get to see what the place is about.
To host travelers and share something with them about the place I live. I believe we can learn so much from each other, and I love to partake in the vibe travelers bring with them. They remind me how big the world is, how different we all are, and yet how much we are alike.
Interests
I'm a sucker for a good museum or historical sightseeing, I like seeing and making beautiful things. But nothing makes me happier than a good concert. Music is everything.

Music, Movies, and Books
Indie rock, American folk, English folk rock, psychedelic rock from the 60s, power pop, jazz, punk, electronic, Brazilian stuff, Mongolian throat singing... yep, I'm eclectic. ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Realizing that everything is an illusion; we're all big collections of atoms and matter and reality is a story we tell ourselves every day to feel more comfortable about the uncertainty and lack of meaning of the universe, and the fact we're all bound to die. Enjoy and embrace every day you're alive ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a natural teacher; learning for me goes hand in hand with teaching. Sharing knowledge is essential to me, and I value people who don't hoard knowledge, but understand that everyone benefits when we give others some of what we have.
I have taught professionally, and love the thought of always having a place for it in my life.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My experiences as a triple- (and world-) citizen, my interest in what your life and views are like, a good attitude and also I make a mean omelette ;)
