Hi world! :)

My name is Nanna and I'm a soon-to-be 21-year-old from the suburbs of Aarhus, Denmark. I graduated from the "gymnasium" (Danish high school) in June 2017 and currently work in my gap year. I'm a big sucker for stories in every form they can be presented in (written, shown, told) and I've been practising photography since I was 13, still loving it as much now as I did when picking up a camera for the first time. I especially adore portrait photography and enjoy playing around with whatever light that's available. I'm a vegetarian and I really like cooking.

I'm genuinely fascinated by how people live their lives and would love to dive into and learn about other cultures. Languages are another big interest of mine: I've studied English almost since beginning in school, German for four years in secondary school, Spanish for three years in high school. I'm currently trying to teach myself a little Japanese. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend Karen and I are planning to travel to Japan, New Zealand and Bali, starting our trip in August or September 2018. We'd like to stay the places we visit for a while (we're going to do some Workaway as well) in order to properly explore where we are and hopefully meet some locals who can teach us about their culture and way of life!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite musicians: Lorde, Glass Animals, First Aid Kit, James Blake, Muse, Imagine Dragons – I have a very broad taste in music, ranging from folk, instrumental and indie to rock, electronic and pop!

Favourite movies: La La Land, Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049, everything by Studio Ghibli (though Spirited Away will forever be my childhood favourite).
I also enjoy watching series such as Game of Thrones, Westworld, Girls, The Crown, Stranger Things, House of Cards, Mr. Robot, Modern Family and Friends.

Favourite books: Harry Potter (J.K. Rowling), The Book Thief (Markus Zusak), Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage (Haruki Murakami), Animal Farm (George Orwell).

If you're interested in Danish language, culture or cuisine, I'd love to share my native knowledge! I have a decent amount of experience in photography (mainly in portraiture, but I've also shot events and concerts) and have previously enjoyed filming a lot. :)
