About Me
Hi there! I'm Pat, 45, and I’m a passionate learner with a deep love for hospitality.
(I plan to visit Japan from January 1st to 7th, 2025)
I work in the hospitality industry, which means I’m constantly surrounded by new people, different cultures, and exciting experiences. That’s probably why I enjoy meeting others who share the same adventurous spirit and love for travel. Whether it’s a cozy conversation over coffee or exploring a new city together, I believe that travel is all about connecting and learning from one another.
Outside of work, I’m always on the hunt for great food spots, hidden gems, and unique local experiences. I love trying new cuisines, chatting with locals, and exploring places off the beaten path. I’m also into photography, discovering art galleries and enjoying good podcasts during downtime.
If you're up for sharing stories, swapping travel tips, or exploring new places, I’d love to connect and learn about your adventures. Let’s make memories, share laughter, and of course, create some unforgettable experiences!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe travel is about more than just visiting new places – it’s about connecting with people and experiencing life through their eyes. I love meeting locals, sharing stories, and discovering hidden gems that you can’t find in guidebooks. For me, Couchsurfing is the perfect way to immerse myself in a community, get off the beaten path, and build meaningful connections with fellow travelers and hosts alike. It’s about sharing cultures, learning from each other, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I have a natural love for hosting people, offering a welcoming space, and making sure others feel at home. There’s something special about sharing a moment with someone from a different part of the world, and I’d love to extend that warmth and hospitality to fellow travelers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things I’ve done is I used to open my own cafe with my friends! It was a dream of ours to create a cozy, welcoming space where people could come together, relax, and enjoy good food and great conversation. From designing the menu to selecting the perfect coffee beans, every part of the process was a labor of love. Working with my friends made it even more special—we shared ideas, supported each other through challenges, and celebrated the little victories along the way. The experience taught me a lot about entrepreneurship, creativity, and the power of hospitality. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see people enjoy the space and the atmosphere we’ve worked hard to create. It’s definitely one of my proudest achievements!
Teach, Learn, Share
I’d be happy to share some insights into Thai language, food, culture, and more! As a native of Thailand, I can teach you some useful phrases, help you with pronunciation, and give you a deeper understanding of the language. If you’re a foodie, I can show you how to prepare some delicious Thai dishes or take you to the best local spots to try authentic Thai food. I can also share fascinating aspects of Thai culture, from traditions and festivals to everyday life. Whether you’re looking to learn something new or simply curious about Thailand, I’d love to share it all with you!
