Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I do a lot of visiting and getting visited so I am very used to it! I absolutely love to have people stay with us and getting to know new people when we go somewhere else. We have hosted several people from various countries in the past and would love to host more.

Interests

Between us we’ll pretty much do any sport. Ben regularly Sails and plays Badders, and I enjoy going to the gym and running, but we’ve done Rock climbing, Rafting, Salsa, Karate, Football, Volleyball, Swimming, Hockey, Dodgeball, cycling, hiking, mountain biking, Parkour, Go Karting, trekking, paddlebaording, sailing ... we are up for most things!
We play in the band and are on the sound, projection and live streaming team at our church - Ben plays guitar and Bass whilst I sing. During lockdown we were the main editors, creating high quality videos each week.
We have recently taken up an interest in filming and making videos.
We love to go driving and riding our motorbikes.
I love acting.
Ben loves computer games.
We travel, we DIY, we fix up cars, we make cocktails, we cook strange dishes. And in between all that we foster rescue dogs looking for forever homes and dog sit regularly.

Music, Movies, and Books

Butterfly Effect, Memento, Slumdog Millionaire, Hunger Games, 28 Days later, Layer Cake, Inglorius Bastards, Black Mirror, Good Place, Lemony Snicket’s; a Series of Unfortunate Events, The Proposal, Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Batteries Not Included, The Double, Heartland, Fargo, Wanted, Arrow, Flash, Supergirl, Dc Legends of Tomorrow, Nashville, Top Gear, New Girl, Sneaky Pete,

Books: We are both big readers and have too many books and not enough shelves! Top authors between us - Jeffery Deaver, John Grisham, Ben Elton, Rosamund Pilcher, Terry Pratchett and Iain Banks. I am also very obsessed with Harry Potter. Ben isn't much of a fan!
Music: Since meeeting Ben i've learnt a lot more about music and will now listen to a whole array of music genres although we are not big fans of hip hip/r'n'b. Between us some of our fav bands are Muse, Rend Collective, Sigor Ros, 65daysofstatic, Pink Floyd, Mostly Autumn, Dave Matthews, Weezer, Daft Punk, Spock's Beard, Presidents of the United States...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2017 we drove 4000 miles in 3 weeks in a bright yellow Porsche Boxster - from South Wales, through France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Austria, Lichtenstein, Switzerland to Italy, where we went to the Monaco F1, drove the Stelvio Pass, hiked the 52 Tunnel Pass, ambled around Venice, got soaked at the San Marino Moto GP, glamped at the Amalfi coast, ate a €14 ice cream dish at Porto Santo Stefano, saw the Leaning tower of Pisa, and much more whilst camping in different campsites every night, before driving home through Monaco and stopping at the Le Mans Museum in France.
It was epic.
It was tiring.
It was soooooo much fun.
