ABOUT ME

I am happy, receptive, not easily offended, and good at being independent. As a couch surfer, I am always looking to make friends. But in terms of figuring out a new city, I can be pretty self-sufficient!

I like jokes. Somehow, I always forget the good ones people tell me. I can sleep on any surface. I don't really know how to cook, but when I try, my intuition serves me pretty well. My favorite color is green, but I don't recycle that much.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is essentially meaningless, but more happiness and less suffering for everyone on earth is a goal worth working for.

Interests

I really love the learning and writing that goes along with being a journalist. Sometimes I like running. Wine is good. Subjects I like to learn about include travel, education, geopolitics, sociology, the English language, other languages, and space.

I've taught English to Americans and to ESL students abroad, and I'd love to exchange language lessons with anyone who wants to teach/learn.
