About Me

Hi! I'm an uruguayan photographer and screenwriter travelling the world eager to learn from other cultures and sharing all my experiences. When I travel I love to learn about the history and food of each place and share a bit about my country with my hosts. I lived in Europe and now I've been traveling around Asia for almost a year.

I'm travelling with my beautiful girlfriend, Emma. She's from Mexico. We met working as bartenders in Dublin, we have travelled together for 1 year around Asia and South America. We're still touring the world :)

I started using BeWelcome first so if you'd like to visit my profile there the link is: https://bewelcome.org/members/Nanopast/en

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel I try to be in touch with local culture as much as possible and I've discovered the best way to do that is by Couchsurfing and sharing all kinds of experiences with local people. I've done it in several countries now and I love it. Cooking with them, sharing long chats at night and more, I got some of my favourite memories from my trips this way and I intend to collect more.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love cinema. I'm a screenwriter and I'll become a movie director once I'm done travelling, so I love watching tons of movies. My favourite movie is The Godfather, my second favourite movie is The Godfather II and so on. I also love Heat, Fight Club, The Big Lebowski and Forrest Gump.
Music wise I love classic rock (Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin) and a lot of uruguayan music (I'd be glad to show you my favourite musicians like Ruben Rada and Jaime Roos).
My favourite book is A Confederacy of Nunces. I love novels, folk tales from the countries I visit and memoirs. Currently I'm reading a few books from Mariana Enríquez.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I completed the Annapurna Base Camp trekking all by myself.
I won a couple of Film Festivals with a screenplay I wrote.
I had a film review YouTube channel and assisted to the Cannes Film Festival thanks to it. There I interviewed Adam Driver and Terry Gilliam.
I climbed the Great Wall of China twice.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach my hosts how to prepare some uruguayan desserts and dishes, also some cocktails or just share some insights abouts movies or songs. I love analyzing films and discussing them with other people, so I'm always eager to share any view on some movies.
I love to learn how to prepare local dishes wherever I go, also learn about the history of each place and just sharing a good conversation, a board game or any kind of shared experience with my host is amazing for me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook them some uruguayan dessert, share some movie or artists from South America with them. Also make them try uruguayan Mate and just come along to any plan we may have. Laughs and stories are always welcome.
