A quote that I always remember and think about is "Madness is rare in individuals - but in groups, parties, nations, and ages it is the rule" from Friedrich Nietzsche -- Meaning for me, that autonomy and independent thinking is most important thing to face collective actions that lead to the worst solutions. Seek after social acceptance is the major betrayal not only against ourselves, but also against common sense. However, learning to listen to others, while questioning the existence of natural and certain trues, allows us to build better worlds together.

With my host, I would be respectful with their intimacy and rhythm of life, and also enthusiastic, willing to learn and share the experience of knowing a new place, people, language, culture, customs, landscape, atmosphere,... travelling is always a new beginning, breaking old habits and trying new ways of thinking and behaving.
