About Me

Fluffy media graduate, your token optimist friend. Hyperactive squirrel crossbreed, long term dream of being a Mad Max villain. Outspoken feminist and anarchist.

"It's a fairly relaxed kinda mohawk they've got going on there."

Agender. They/them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've just started on Couchsurfing! I've been thinking about it for a while, but I finally joined 'cos I'm looking for somewhere to stay while I'm working at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In future, I'd really love to use Couchsurfing so I can travel farther afield - there's so many places I want to see!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
More Principium Est, The Score, Skrillex, Lady Gaga, Halsey, Dropkick Murphy's, Souljazz Orchestra - I'm into a whole load of music and I adore listening to new stuff!

Movies/Shows
I'm a sucker for superhero movies. Anything sci-fi or fantasy will definitely get my attention. My favourite movies are Tank Girl and Mad Max: Fury Road.

Books
Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archive is my favourite book series. I've a huge stack of books at home I need to get through, but they're all nonfiction so it's taking me a while.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was ten I went snorkelling in Aruba and nearly sat on a brain coral. Also a fish headbutted me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've a wide range of skills, from martial arts to carpentry to computer programming and graphic design, all of which I'd be delighted to share with others. Though, of course, by no means should I be considered a teacher in any of them!

Relatedly, there's so many things I want to learn - every skill I have, I want to be better at. I can play guitar and keyboard, I'd really love to add to that list. In particular violin and accordion pique my interest. New martial arts are also very high on my list of things to learn - I've practiced mixed martial arts and historical European martial arts. I really want to try my hand at blacksmithing. I can sew and cook to the barest minimum of competency, so I'd be delighted by a chance to build on these. New languages would also be great to learn - I know some Irish and French, but I've a long way to go in both.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I work as a theatre technician, so I've a wide range of technical and DIY skills. I'm an OK cook and my housemates appreciate my strong dishwashing capacity.

On a less functional, more personal level, I'm really sociable! Working in theatre, I've got an endless array of show recommendations ready to go at any one time and I always try to make it to as many concerts as I can.
