PHILOSOPHY

My primary objective in life is to contribute to a more humane world. In order to live up to this ideal, I regularly donate money to effective (meta-)charities, serve on the board of two NGOs and I don't eat any animal products.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like the social and non-commercial aspect of it.

- programming: It's fascinating how you can create something from nothing
- cycling: My favorite mode of traveling
- effective altruism: I try to spend my spare resources based on evidence and careful reasoning to make sure they maximize the positive impact on the world (i.e. reduce unnecessary suffering most effectively)
