Hello! I’m a 45 year old full time artist (painter) and single mother of two boys. I live at the beach so love beachwalks, reading or enjoying a cup of tea or glass of wine while watching the waves in the afternoon. Kayaking and bodyboarding when I feel energetic (which is less often these days!) I formally worked in interior design so I adore seeing peoples homes and meandering through homewares stores. I’m a morning person not a night owl, overall I’m fairly quiet. To relax I like to cook, watch a doco or movie, or spend time in the garden - I love visiting open gardens and nurseries. I thought I’d open my home to couch surfers to offer people affordable accommodation in this beautiful part of the NSW South Coast, and hopefully stay with other members during my travels when visiting galleries and gardens.

Interests

Being an artist I like visiting regional galleries and other artistic or art loving people. I enjoy cooking but am happy be cooked for as well or given instructions to help out. I am neat but not over the top neat, like listening to relaxing background music such as jazz, classical or r&b.

Music, Movies, and Books

Not into loud music, but I like music that goes with what I'm cooking or even reading, Eg Indian music, Asian or Latin American. I always have a book and love settling down for a read with a cup of tea or glass of wine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'll always rememeber a night dive on the Great Barrier Reef and seeing turtles the size of dining tables asleep in an underwater cave, holdonb their breathe dawn. I like the amzing things in everyday life, such as watching willy wagtails in the birdbath, or seeing Autumn leaves floating down on quiet sunny afternoons in the garden.

Happy to teach some creative painting techniques or learn new crafts and skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Happy to help in the garden be it vegies or weeding or mulching etc. If you need some wood stacking or furniture moved about or paintings hung I'm quite handy. I can cook you a nice dinner or do groceries on the way to you etc.
