I'm a Dutch au pair in Santa Monica, CA. That means I live with a family to take care of their kids. I moved here in October 2017 and I'll move back to NL in October/November 2018.
So I'm currently not studying, I'll apply for university in the Netherlands next year. (Either Medicine, Latin & Ancient Greek or Musicology)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to find a place to sleep when I'm on a citytrip and to meet new people while I'm traveling. Most of the time that I travel, I am all alone so meeting new people is always nice.
October 8th - November 7th is gonna be my "travel month". I'm not active on couchsurfing right now, but I will definitely be looking for a host and new friends around that time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Everything from the 60s till now. Favorite genre is rock. Favorite bands are The Black Keys and The Smiths. I also play flute.
Movies: Can't decide about a #1 favorite movie, but the best one I've recently seen is Red Sparrow. I like all genres. Favorite Disney movie is Mulan (and Pirates of the Caribbean of course).
Books: Harry Potter. Period.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moved to the States. Canyoning in France. Went to London all by myself when I was 16, because I wanted to see the Harry Potter studios.
