About Me
Hello,
I'm Naomi, a 23 year old recent art graduate from the south coast of England. I am chatty, enthusiastic and love to meet new people.
I'm currently travelling around Asia for the first time with my boyfriend Dan, we're visiting Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam and South Korea. Feel free to give me a shout if any travellers want to meet up!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a way to meet people while travelling, and get off the beaten track!
I'm also very interested in staying with hosts in South Korea in May/June, as I have been looking into taking a job teaching English in South Korea next year, and would love to make some friends and connections, and take the opportunity to practice my Hangeul before I start.
Interests
I am an illustration graduate, and love drawing, painting and all things creative. I am also very much an animal lover, and worked for a year in the education department of an aquarium in Brighton, talking to guests and hosting workshops about protecting our oceans. I am passionate about protecting the environment.
I usually spend my free time drawing, sitting in a pub with my friends and a nice beer or gin, watching cartoons or planning my next travel adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is quite varied I guess, I'll often be listening to psychedelic rock, blues, funk, hip hop, folk, electronic, a lot of 60s/70s stuff but some newer stuff too! I enjoy going to gigs and festivals and watching live music.
I do like to watch a lot of cartoons (adventure time, Steven universe etc, some anime too). My favourite films include 'the holy mountain', 'wristcutters; a love story', 'I'm a cyborg but that's okay', 'princess mononoke' and 'Evil Dead'. I'm a big b-movie horror fan!
My favourite books include 1984 by George Orwell, A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, the Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R Tolkien, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S Thompson.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm very lucky in that I've finally been able to quit my job, move out my flat and set off on my current adventure around Asia! So far I've had an amazing time and experienced so many incredible things, it's so hard to choose one. I do love to exchange stories with other travellers though, if we ever meet!
Teach, Learn, Share
If you are interested in learning facts about sharks then I'm your girl!
I am hoping to improve my language skills, particularly my Korean and German, so I am very keen to practice with you! In return I am more than happy to provide English lessons and help.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love drawing and painting, and am always up for creating art together, whether it's painting a mural, helping with a project or a painting lesson.
I am also willing to help with the host or host's families English if they wish :)
I love to learn about other cultures and fully immerse myself in to the local way of life, in a respectful and enthusiastic way. I hope we can share a fun and happy experience together!
