About Me

I have been working as a professional storyteller for more than 13 years, mostly with traditional folk and fairytales. My current project is to go around the planet with no airplane, carrying the story of Goosefeather. It is based on interviews I did in 2011 with my Parisian grandfather. Feel free to check out www.goosefeather.ca for more on that and more on me :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently on a journey around the planet with no airplane.

As I get around the planet I want to make direct connections with individuals and communities. I believe strongly in alternative economies and feel that couchsurfing is a great platform for fostering this.

FYI: I completed the first leg of the journey by catching a cargo ship from Long Beach, USA to Melbourne, Australia - 21 days across the Pacific Ocean. I crossed from Australia to Hong Kong with another cargo ship. Then I enjoyed Beijing, Suzhou and Shanghai as well as performing and offering workshops. I fulfilled a childhood dream by being in Japan for cherry blossom time. I took the Trans Siberian Express from Vladivostok to Moscow.... birch trees forever!!!! Then it was St. Petersberg where I caught another boat to Stockholm then Oslo, the UK, Switzerland, Belgium, France, before now returning to England to catch a boat across the Atlantic.

By the way, both my sister and parents have been on the couchsurfing network for some years now and have had very positive experiences. I think I was born into the adventure/community lifestyle... :)

Teach, Learn, Share

So much delight and so many territories to explore...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can lend a helping hand to move that heavy awkward thing you just can't do alone. I can read over your thesis and offer edits or be a conceptual sounding board. I can be a buddy, I can be kooky, I can be quiet, I can do the dishes, I can make a meal, I can delve into my little bag of neat gifts and surprise you with a bit of stitch work. I can. Yes. I can. :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Morocco, New Caledonia, Palestine, Russian Federation, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, United States
