ABOUT ME

My name is Japanese, my parents came to Argentina from Okinawa after WWII and I was born in Buenos Aires.
I'm a PR pro but I've discovered my true passion: cooking. A big fan of art and architecture, not quite an expert at music but enjoy been introduced to new sounds. Love both cooking and eating (I became veggie some months ago) and of course, meeting nice people to hang out!

Mi nombre Naomi es de origen japonés. Mis padres okinawenses se radicaron en la Argentina a fines de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y yo nací­ en Buenos Aires.
Soy licenciada en Relaciones Públicas pero mi verdadera pasión es la cocina. Me encantan el arte y la arquitectura, tengo un a veces cuestionable gusto musical pero estoy abierta a lo nuevo. Amo cocinar y comer (soy ovo lacto vegetariana hace pocos meses) así que un plan ideal para conocer gente linda podría incluir alguna de estas actividades!

PHILOSOPHY

I try to enjoy the happiness of little moments, not to worry too much but to take action and help people to be happy and hopeful as well. Everyday, my philosophy is to be a more respectful, honest and kind person.
Trato de ser feliz con los pequeños momentos, no preocuparme demasiado sino ocuparme e intento que quienes me rodean también sean felices. Mi filosofía diaria es intentar ser más respetuosa, honesta y amable.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the time being, I can only join you to visit around the city and suburbs, go to museums, have meal/a drink somewhere...I hope I can host you in the short run!
Por el momento, no puedo alojarte en mi casa, pero puedo acompañarte a visitar la ciudad y alrededores, ir a museos, salir a comer o tomar unos tragos!

Interests

I just love cooking new recipes with strange ingredients, dancing to the music while driving my car with no plan, tasting good food, laughing at funny anecdotes and bad jokes, taking naps, drinking a cup of any tea, reading happy posts on Facebook, loving people for their honesty and kindness, helping as much as I can.

Disfruto probar nuevas recetas de cocina con ingredientes extraños, bailar en el auto mientras manejo, comer rico, reí­rme de buenas anécdotas y malos chistes, dormir la siesta, beber té (amo el té!), leer publicaciones felices en Facebook, amar a las personas por su buen corazón y ayudar cada vez que puedo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking on Perito Moreno glacier, rafting at Aluminé river (and I can't swim...), watching at my dad's incredible happy smile when I got my U degree, driving through the mountains, cooking potato dumplings for my Japanese granny the only time I was in Okinawa (3rd and last time I saw her).

Caminar sobre el glaciar Perito Moreno, hacer rafting en el río Aluminé (sin saber nadar), ver la cara de feliz cumpleaños de mi padre cuando me entregaron el diploma, cocinar croquetas de papa para mi abuelita japonesa la única vez que estuve en Okinawa.
