ABOUT ME

I DONT HAVE A COUCH!!!!! Everytime I try to update the profile it reverts to saying that I maybe have a couch. But, I DONT HAVE A COUCH!!! SORRY!!!

$Hello!

Firstly, I am not a local to Prague, so I am really not the best person to give you an informative 'tour'. I can however recommend some of my favourite places to visit etc, and possibly meet for a beer if I have time.

I currently work as an archaeologist... and I tend to work 6 to 7 days a week. So I am very busy and I have to honestly say that it's only rarely now that I can host/meet other couchsurfers.

Also, I receive a lot of requests and messages.. so my apologies if I don't reply to you in time/at all.

More generally my interests include wandering the landscape and playing in dirt :)

I also love music and enjoy dancing like a fool at local concerts and festivals. It can be any style of music really, with the right atmosphere and company anything is fun.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am fairly new to the couch-surfing world, and so far I have only had visitors stay with me. I haven't ventured onto anyone else's couch yet. When people stay with me I leave it up to them what they want to do. I can hang out with you or I can leave you to do your own thing. I don't mind if you just simply want a place to sleep, I don't expect anything more from you than just honesty and friendliness. I'm super relaxed. I can offer you breakfast, but I won't be offended if you don't trust my cooking (or rather, you don't trust the cereal in the box)...

Festivals are fun.

I have to admit that I'm not a big reader. It is something that I regret. I'm the kind of person who will read half a book and then get distracted by something else in life. When I return to the book, I can never remember where I was in the story, and I can't bring myself to start over again. It's a vicious cycle.

I'm not sure what qualifies as 'amazing' but my most favourite or memorable experiences have to be:

Working on the Nokalakevi excavations in Georgia.

Travelling around to festivals in the Czech Republic with my friends.

Flying over the Czech Republic (as a passenger) in a small plane to take archaeological photographs and then puking absolutely everywhere.

Seeing Pearl Jam for the first time at the Isle of Wight festival and almost touching Eddie Vedder's hand, and then regretting not having arms 5 inches longer ever since.

Setting up a tent in a 'bad' location in the Peak District. A silky sleeping bag + a steep slope = sliding out of the tent at speed towards a river.
