CURRENT MISSION

Make money! No, that is only my means-to-an-end. Ultimately, my mission is to open my creative tap all the way, and make a living through my illustration, wandering the world and touching lives.

ABOUT ME

I am old enough to realize that I can't have it all, but young enough to want it all. I am pursuing a creative life in the world of art/illustration/design, which means sometimes are hard times, and sometimes are great times - but isn't that the way it should be anyways?

I grew up in a small, somewhat remote town of interior BC, and as a result, will never be at peace in a city - though I have become accustomed to them, and am now attached to my technological devices and habits. Oh well, another example of a good full experienced life right?

My future is for the moment connected to Mexico where my wife and I have plans to live into the near future, while our careers and directions take hold.

PHILOSOPHY

Words are magic, careful how you use them. Consider your words carefully. I sincerely believe there is more to this than most might merit. Words, persuasion and information are extremely powerful forces, if not the most powerful force we have as humans - on par with our creativity and determination.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was flying to Edmonton, with vague plans on where I was staying or the job I was going to (following a big-money-oil-and-gas-job) .. and lucked into sharing a seat on the plane with a very nice Croation fellow in very much the same situation as me - except he had accomodation plans, couchsurfing at the VIP room in Edmonton. I tagged along with him, to see what it was all about. The fellows at the wacky VIP zone are generous beyond belief and allowed me to stay without a couchsurfing request (not that you should avoid making one!). And from there...It was 'ohmygosh, how come I never even thought about this concept before'. Brilliant I say!

Alllll sorts of music - obscure or not! As long as it's creative and full of feeling, I can definitely enjoy :)

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment, I am on the hunt for a couple graphic novels (limited currently by funds): Anything Mike Mignola or anything drawn by Sean Murphy (arist on Hellblazer: city of demons).

and for when I'm loaded, I'll throw so much money at the new James Jean - Rebus graphic compendium :)
