I'm curious, interested in other cultures and avid to learn :)

I am studying Cultural Anthropology and Environmental Sciences in Zurich and living there with three other students. My family home, where I go back sometimes during the weekend is in Ticino, the Southern part of Switzerland.

I love reading and writing, words that cannot be translated in other languages, the first sunny days of spring and a good dish of spaghetti al pomodoro e basilico.

I adore traveling and meeting new people and this seems a very down on earth and nice way to do it. Moreover while hosting people you do not only gain new friends, but you learn to look at your immediate surroundings with new eyes :)

Interessen

I like photography and art in general. I enjoy long visits in museums and exhibitions, taking notes and writing about what surrounds me.
I like taking long strolls, hiking and biking a lot.
The way I like to get in touch with a new place is usually by renting a bike, exploring and chatting with people.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love reading and creative writing.
I like always having a book in my suitcase, just in case..
My taste in music changes a lot depending on my mood and the weather: on a rainy day I can easily spend hours listening to the accordions of Yann Tiersen; on slow Sundays I love Caribou or, if spending them in the sun at the park "Dancing in the Moonlight" is my soundtrack.
I really enjoy movies and, in the last semester I learned to love the early black and white works of French great authors like Jean Renoir, Robert Bresson and Julien Duvivier. (I'm definitely not an expert, I'm just really curious)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I climbed the Merapi volcano in Indonesia at 3 AM to see the sunrise from the top. I admit I hated it at the beginning but it was totally worth it!

I'd love to know about your culture, your beliefs, learn some words of your language, your dreams, what you do when you're sad, what you like to eat on lazy Sundays or even just talk about the weather.
I'm curious and I like to share what I know and think, but I'll respect you if you prefer to keep things for yourself :)
