About Me
I'm a Malaysian student studying in London and I've been dealing with a wonderful case of wanderlust ever since I moved here! I absolutely love travelling and meeting new people. I love London as well (along with the millions of interesting things that happen here everyday), so if you have any questions - I'm happy to help! And of course, any questions about Malaysia (or Kuala Lumpur, in particular) are welcome (:
I'm looking to host people soon, but it depends on my living situation, I really hope I can host people soon since I've had such a good time with the Couchsurfers that I've met so far!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I absolutely adore the concept of Couchsurfing, all the people that I have met so far via CS is a testament to how great it is! I love experiencing a place through the eyes of locals whenever I visit a new place, as it is so much more interesting than just whizzing about from one spot to the next. Couchsurfing also allows me to immerse myself in the local culture which is always lovely!
Interests
I'm an avid reader, with my taste ranging from crime thrillers to general fiction. I am slowly starting to venture into biographies as well! Book recommendations are appreciated and I can definitely recommend some of my favourites too (: I write in my free time too and I'm trying to shift my focus to writing more fiction.
I enjoy going to the theatre as well since there are few things better than seeing a beautiful story being brought to life on stage.
I'm passionate about food and I've been working on my baking skills (:
Every once in a while, it's important to get out of London to experience the great outdoors so I go on regular hikes with my university club, mostly to Wales and Scotland. I love the challenge of completing a difficult hike and I'm also keen on improving my rock climbing skills!
I love learning languages as well, being from Malaysia. I'm currently learning French and would love to practise it as much as I can.
I enjoy meeting new people and I use my extra time at university to do just that by volunteering, which is a great way to meet like-minded people in this massive city!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like most genres of music, ranging to English indie music to Tamil songs.
I'm finding it impossible to pinpoint just a few great books! You will have to ask me when you meet me (:
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ran my first 10K in aid of Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) recently and managed to raise quite a bit for them as well (:
Teach, Learn, Share
Happy to teach you English or Malay and share some wonderful Malaysian and Indian cooking with you!
I love learning about different cultures and picking up a few words of your language would be amazing as well.
I can definitely share some travel tips with you if you're curious about any of the places that I've been to. Of course, I'm also happy to share tips about Malaysia and London (:
What I Can Share with Hosts
Interesting conversations about my travels, my life (it has been such an adventure so far!) and an eager listening ear to your insights as well. I'm always up for trying new things and exploring places off the beaten track, so if you ever need someone to drag along on your adventures, count me in!
