About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm trying to remember why I came on earth

ABOUT ME

I'm quite shy, not enough communicating, though I've been spending most of my life among people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm still discovering and experiencing the possibilities of this wonderfull site

Interests

beside learning languages and travelling, I'm very interested in people, other cultures, new ways of live. I've been visiting the communities of ZEGG in Germany, Findhorn in Scottland, Osho Leela in England. Last year, I've been busy learning
massage (Ayurvedic Yoga Massage) in Sweden , the Rosen Method at several places in Europe, Tantra in Germany, and practicing yoga and meditation.
Right now I'm trying to (re)learn to play the guitar and the accordion

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I'm very classical : I love to go back in the past and experience medieval music and the french barock. At the other end of the range, I can listen to contemporary musicians like Arvo Pärt. But sice I'm also interested in other cultures and open to the world, I listen of course to world music. It can be an old islandic folksong, a russian lullaby, some sad songs in jiddish from the eastern European Jews ,something japanese, arabic, turkish....
I was always found of reading. I had a german time, when I read nearly every roman by Hermann Hesse, then a russian time when i read several times " The Idiot", "crime and Punishment" and "The Brothers Karamazov" by Fyodor Dostoevsky. All those books made a great impression on me. Then I discovered Murakami Haruki, Paolo Coelho, Márquez Gabriel Garcia, Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir, and the french authors Éric Schmitt, Didier Van Cauwelaert.....Lately, I've been more interested in books about personnal developpment

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe joining Munich from Salzburg (300 km) by foot without proper shoes, without a sleeping bag and crossing the mountains without a map.
Or crossing the sea between Denmark and Sweden alone in a tiny canoe, beeing surprised ba a tempest, and...beeing still alive
