I'm a 36-year-old Filipino who was born and raised in General Santos City (Mindanao) but relocated to Cebu City (Visayas) for more than 15 years.

The usual description I give in my social media accounts is I'm a bespectacled call center boy and an online contest junkie & fur-dad. I try to share some good stuff I find online on and been very active on Instagram & Twitter: @narsisismo.

I'm an easily pleased and open-minded person who loves to make other people happy. I find happiness in appreciating what I do for others and it also gives me great joy that I can make other people see what a beautiful world we are living in. It is always good to be a blessing to others and be an inspiration to them as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My brother who lived in Japan for his doctorate degree introduced me to this and I'd like to give couchsurfing a try.

I'm in Cebu for more than 15 years and have been renting a house here with my friends. The room that I have is quite spacious and I don't mind accommodating fellow couchsurfers visiting the area.

Also, I always play a tour guide to visiting friends and I love being a host to them as I enjoy touring people around and making them appreciate Cebu City more. Cebu and its people helped me grow as a person and it's a place that won't bore you as it has a lot of things to offer and I like to share it with other people too.

Interests

I love taking pictures, exploring places, and tasting different delicacies. I'm active in social media and trying my best to update Instagram, Twitter and Facebook daily.

I'm a sun, sand, and sea type of person. I love island life and its simple, quiet, and peaceful way of living.

I want to do volunteer work whenever I can and will definitely find time for it so if you are having such activities, please feel free to invite me.

During downtime or alone time, I love to just stay at home with our dogs, read books and watch movies & binge watch any interesting TV series. I stay active on social media by joining various online contests. I love the thrill of it and winning too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into different genres when it comes to music, movies and books.

I grew up listening to bubblegum pop and alternative music of the 90s while enjoying Original Pinoy Music. My type of music can be very varied but I'm drawn these days to the music of Tori Kelly, Clean Bandit, Jess Glynne and will always be in awe of Christina Aguilera's vocal prowess.

I have a long list of favorite movies which include The Curse of the Golden Flower, Queen of the Damned, Shawshank Redemption, John Q, The Silence of the Lambs, Batman Begins, Pretty Woman, The Godfather Trilogy, Magnifico and Easy A.

Films of Hollywood thespians Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Anthony Hopkins, Morgan Freeman, Emma Stone, Christian Bale, Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron & Cate Blanchett are something I look forward to watching.

I'm a fan of authors Sidney Sheldon and Phyllis Whitney but I also enjoy the works of Stephen King, Agatha Christie, Danielle Steel, Barbara Delinsky, Thomas Harris.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Cebuano and Tagalog to anyone interested to learn these languages.

I had been in the BPO industry for more than 15 years and will surely have some inputs on how business is done.

I love to cook for friends and be a very hospitable host. I'd love to share how some Filipino dishes are made. I even teach my friends how to prepare some of dishes I know how to cook.

I have been roaming the Philippines for years as I was born and raised in the "Tuna Capital of the Philippines" and relocated in the "Queen City of the South." It will be my pleasure to share my adventures and food trips to others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a bit of Filipino culture, history, recipes and some of the practices from the industry that I am in.

I have gone to a lot of places in the Philippines and would love to see more of its beauty with visiting friends. I can give them tips where to go and what to expect when one wants to explore the Philippines and its culture.

Also, I can do household chores and be very dependable on a lot of things.
