Overview
About Me
I'm originally from Japan, but I'm a student of University of Belgrade, studying linguistics and Arabic language. Hopefully to finish the study next year 2024.
I am a cheerful and open-minded person, which means that I don't judge people based on their religion, sexuality, race, age, etc...
I love traveling and meet new people from different countries. Sometimes it can be scary, surprising or embarrassing but so exciting to meet the local people, to try speaking the local language and the local food and to see something which can't be seen in my daily life.
My family religion is Tenrikyo, which started in 1836 in Nara prefecture, Japan. I don't pray for the God regularly but I believe that the God or something great works every moment behind the visible world in which we live, and I respect its basic teachings. If you are interested, I can share you with them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have two reasons. One is that simply I want to help travelers. Most of the time in a day I study or do for myself. I have a couch for you to sleep, I can do something little for you using my body given by God such as cooking, guiding and so on.
The other reason is that different guests make my daily life different. Everyone has grown up in different circumstances among different people. If I don't do couchsurfing, my daily life is very simple; I get up, prepare for going to school, attend the classes, go home, go to bed, etc... I enjoy studying, but I want something else. Meeting new people makes my life more enjoyable and meaningful.
Interests
I'm interested in any differences between Japan and your country in custom, cuisine, belief, language and so on.
- cooking
- traveling
- volunteering
- learning languages
- bicycling
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess that one of them is that I improved my Serbian language from the completely zero beginner level for one year into the academic level at which I can follow the university lectures which are done in Serbian.
Another is that I moved to Hiroshima to know much about the atomic bomb and took a part of the volunteer guide activities to introduce the Peace Memorial Park to the foreign visitors in English. I visited the atomic bomb museum many times to be able to explain what happened in Hiroshima on the day of the atomic bomb.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have many work experiences. I used to work as a Japanese language teacher, a Japanese masseur and sushi chef.
Also, I acted a role of an extra in a Hollywood movie which was shot in Serbia. The movie will be screen in 2020. I don't know yet if I'm in the movie. You'll see.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can teach you Serbian language, and of course, Japanese language since I worked as a Japanese language teacher or write your name in Japanese alphabet for you.
I can cook you Asian dishes, pasta, Indian curry.
Maybe if I have time, I can teach you how to make sushi since I worked as a sushi chef.
