我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

In the past I've hosted and travelled with Servas and Globetrotters. I love the opportunity to meet people from that country and also get an insider's view.
I have also travelled as a backpacker and have many precious memories. I've also travelled to resorts and stayed in big hotels.
I prefer the more intimate feel of smaller places where guests mingle and do things together and especially like staying with hosts/hosting and getting to know people.
I'm not into the party scene and prefer getting to know individuals so this is the perfect way for me to meet people who have a similar outlook and maybe similar interests. As I tend to travel alone it gives me a chance to make new friends and spend time with somebody.

兴趣

The outdoors, I love being outdoors, whether lying in my hammock, picnic-ing by a stream or hiking.
My favourite places are mostly by the sea, the warmer the better! My dream is to live by the sea one day!
I love to swim, walk, spend time with friends or family, read and go to the cinema.
I've done level 1 Reiki and am keen to do level 2. I'm trying to be more 'mindful' and spiritual.

Love the outdoors and the environment. Loved seeing the animals on safari in Africa but I'm so concerned future generations won't be able to. Been to many exotic beaches and loved my trips in foreign countries, but concerned about pollution, especially air pollution.

I read many mainly female authors from mysteries and detective stories to supernatural and romances.
Like 70s, 80s and 90s music, but more recently have fallen in love with country music.

My favourite was trekking the Annapurna Circuit. It was amazing and has nearly converted me from a beach bum!! I'd love to go again sometime soon!
The Moreno glacier, seeing and hearing it and being awed just to be there!
Camel trek in Rajasthan, being away from it all and seeing the milky way and shooting stars.
