Hi there!

My name is Nash and I'm a 22y/o film student from Amsterdam. The last couple of months I've been fulfilling my dream which was traveling through Canada. In the end I realized I desperately want to go back there next year with a van. At the same time I figured, since I'm so close to the states, I might as well check out the west coast and so that's what I'm doing right now!

Of course I knew about couch surfing before, but it was only during this trip that I really started to participate and man what a journey it has been so far. All 7 of my hosts gave me the best time possible. I even visited certain hosts again on my way back and made friends! Your overall experience of a city becomes so much nicer when you're with someone from there or with knowledge about the city. I can talk hours about all the awesome things of Couchsurfing and I've only been doing it for a short time now.

During this trip I did a lot of hitchhiking too, both in Canada and the states, another thing I can talk hours about. People's hospitality all over the world, wether it's sharing their house with you or just a ride. It inspired me so much! I don't even have a car but I can't wait to pick someone up as soon as I see them while driving!

Besides that, pff there is so much more to tell, but hey isn't it way nicer to talk about that in real life?

I know a lot of people mention this on their profile, unfortunately so do I. I can't host anyone at the moment, because I'm sharing my house in Amsterdam with two lovely roommates and there's just not the space. That doesn't mean you can't contact me if you're in the Dam, I'f I have time, I'm always keen to show you around!

Surprise, surprise, but I have a lot of interests. My biggest would be electronic music. But then again pointing out your biggest interest is hard thing to do, please don't pin me down on electronic music haha. Most of all I'm just a super open guy, for example a friend of mine introduced me to both Korean and Mexican food, little did I know that became one of my favorite food and you might consider it to be an interest!

So yeah, hopefully we share interests without knowing or can we inspire each other.

I'm a huge fan of the WARP record label, especially Boards of Canada (yes, that's coincedence) and Aphex Twin are my favorites, I'd love to tell you about it and introduce you into the endless ocean of electronic ambient music. That have said, my music taste crosses a wide variety of genres, always open to hear new music.

I'm filmstudies student at the University of Amsterdam and did my bachelor thesis on the French (Canadian) documentary genre ' Cinéma Vérité' and it's present day influence on documentary. Here too, I'd be pleased to tell you all about it (:

Back in 2014 I ran the marathon of Amsterdam, it's been my biggest accomplishment so far and I'm so proud of it!

UPDATE

I'm still super mega proud of the marathon, but at this moment I'm at the end of my very first big travel and it's been amazing. I learned so much, did so much couchsurfing, hitchhiking and stepping out of my comfort zone. I definitely consider this to be another amazing thing I've done!

I like to make people laugh in all kinds of way, sharing fun stories is absolutely one of 'em. There are plenty of weird or absurd situations I've been in and somehow they always make people smile. Besides that, I am eager to learn from my host and would love to combine my experiences from studies and jobs, among other things in online and social marketing, and bring into practice in a way which is mutually beneficial!
