ABOUT ME
If you are what you eat we are NUTS! Some people love us, some are allergic to us. We 've got two hearts over our heads and a big, eternal rainbow over our existence. We like it when you are you and when we are we and when we don't need to be you and you don't need to be us but we know that you are us and we are you. I&I.. Nasta, I m a gypsy wannabe. But when I grow up I wanna be a turtle. Me, I am up in the clouds. I love seahorses, the moon and the sky. fire. Hedgehogs. Nests. Pebbles and shells. And reading bedtime stories. I love to hold hands. barefootness. To communicate (love the nonverbal!) I love to write and send letters. To click on "couchsearch". To feel the wind on my face. To be stupid. I love to hand-feed people. I love chocolate so much I haven't eaten any for the last 10 years (for the sake of my mind!) so no sugar for me plz! I like to make collages and puppets, get dirty, be on the train and see children waving at it. I could sell my soul for a greek tiropita, bulgarian banitsa or turkish poaca.I like giving lost toys a shelter.
I don't like alcohol and clubs, tv, money and meanies, meat and fascists.I think that's about it

Well time passed. I'm super old in cs..
I didn't use it for long time but we are starting again now with Nayro. At the moment we are couch surfing in tenerife. Wow. Amazing.
PHILOSOPHY
We're not our skin of grime,
we're not our dread bleak dusty imageless locomotive,
we're all beautiful golden sunflowers inside
Allen Ginsberg

And a woman who held a babe against her bosom said, "Speak to us of Children" And he said:
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
Khalil Gibran

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By collecting fruits for our big and wonderful, always blooming family tree. There was a period of time when not so many people were hosting in the city. I felt obliged giving all couchsurfers who wrote a shelter, without even looking at their profiles. And this is how in 3 years we hosted more than 300. Then I realized I was being a TERRIBLE host (people told me) so I started taking breaks...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- children, they always amaze me: how can they be so tender, strong and smart? how can we always mess them up?
Teach, Learn, Share
The only thing i can SHARE with you is the following:
It' s really easy to have everything in life. You just need to go to Greece. Then all you need is two (or more) small pandas. "Panda" when following the article "ta" means "everything" in greek. I do have two pandas so I have everything :) Oh, how do I love languages!

useful info about the word MACEDONIA:
Many greeks believe that Macedonia is greek.they ignore the fact that on the whole planet when buying a world map there is a country by the name of Macedonia. Guys! stop calling a country by the name of its capital(Skopje)! Its like calling Greece> Athens. we have way more important things to fight for. And dear travelers, be prepared, if u call Macedonia (the country) Macedonia while in Greece, trying to buy a map or a ticket, you will at least get a boring, nationalistic 20-minute history lesson.

What I Can Share with Hosts
1) Hospitality for us is a SACRED and MAGICAL thing.
We appreciate every inch of floor/mattress/couch/bed/space in the yard that is given to us and we have our ways of showing it.
2) GIVING: I love giving and I love gifts and I cannot ever leave a place without offering something in return, food, souvenir, card, soap or toilet paper, depending on person and need.
3) COUCHSEARCH: I spend HOURS browsing profiles to send 2 requests. I write to 2/100 people and maybe less. So if I am writing to you it means I really like you.
4) SLEEPINGAll that matters is to be next to each other. Surface is not important.
5) COOKING & CHORES: Although we are not perfect cooks, I believe cooking for our host is a must,as well as washing dishes, cleaning, working around the house, playing with children or making crafts, walking dogs, running errands, share the knowledge of greek language. Please help us feel comfortable! Let us help you! :)
6) RESPECT: We know how to be discrete when you want quiet time and how to fool around when you are feeling like doing it. I believe we know how to "feel" people and RESPECT their needs, space and time.
7) YOUR TIME: We love to spend time with our hosts, since we travel for them and not for museums, exhibitions and parties... But it's fine if they don't have time to spend with us.I have been a baby-sitter for 10 years of my life, I do not need others to babysit for me. You surely have other stuff to do in your life. I know how couchsurfing can be a full-time "job".
8) FAMILIES: We love to stay with families, esp. ones with children, people older than us or anyone who is interested in serious BONDING!
9) LENGTH OF STAY: When I say 1-2 nights it is 1 or 2 nights, even if next night we are sleeping at the park. If you want to host us for more just tell us. I know firsthand how hard it is to host someone that you do not like for more than 2 days and that is why I do not ask for more. Two nights maximum and we take it from there.
10) ARRIVAL TIME: I understand that hitch-hiking can be problematic since we cannot give an exact time of arrival. We always start early and do short distances in order to not arrive late. SorrY! Will keep you updated. Waiting at the park close to your house for 2-3 hours is not a problem.
11) OLDSKOOL GPS: Once close to your place it is OUR responsibility to find you and not yours. We will ask people, check maps, internet, anything. We do not want you to waste credit to sms us or time to come and pick us up. All we need is directions (area, address, buzzer, apt. number).
12) SMOKING: We cannot stay in smoking places since Nayro is a too young to decide if he likes it or not
13) FRIENDSHIP: We would love to exchange long messages or talk thru skype before we visit, to get to know each other, but for me is also lovely to keep in touch after we meet, meet again and again. In other words = be friends.
Interested in that?
