I'm just looking for magic in the world... and when I'm not doing that, I'm creating it ;).
I am originally from South Africa but, after travelling around a bit, I decided to settle in Hong Kong and earn my residency here.
The plan was to take advantage of HK as the travel hub that it was but, thanks to Covid, the plan went a little sideways in the last few years and I haven’t left the country in 3 years.

I’m excited to travel again and meet new and interesting people. It will be interesting to get out there again and hear about everyone’s experiences over the past few years.

I love exploring new places, having a few drinks, dancing, brunching, hiking, scuba diving and sharing stories. I’m up for experiencing new foods and cultures. I love to laugh and be silly.

I'm interested in people. Do NOT bore me with small talk. I want to hear your stories and your views on life. I want to hear about what gives you butterflies and what feeds that twinkle in your eye. I want to go ride bikes, swim in the sea under the stars, make campfires and sleep on the beach...
I know...
I'm hopeless haha.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, explore new cultures and practice language skills. I honestly think there is no better way to experience a country than through the people that live there.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC: Anything with heart. Bruno Mars, Alicia Keys, Birdy... I tend to be drawn to ballads, R&B or indie music but I'm just as much into Hip Hop and House. It all depends on my mood but music in general is a source of inspiration for me. I have recently even developed a passion for Spanish music.

MOVIES: I'm more into series than movies. I love superheroes, science fiction or anything existentialist. I'm a real nerd at heart.

BOOKS: I tend to stick to reading for intellectual purposes. Language studies, philosophy or academic studies that interest me.

Whatever you want to learn. Whether it's about my culture or country... or a skill? You want to learn to play the piano?
You want to learn some photoshop/illustrator/after effects/premiere pro?
You need a dive buddy to fill up your dive log?
Want to practice your English skills?

Anything. Just ask and I will see what I can do. I like to learn a lot of things so teach me too! I am always looking for an opportunity to practice my Spanish skills... although I may need some encouragement to speak it haha. You want to teach me to cook one of your favorite dishes? We can have a little kitchen session and dinner for sure.
