I'm a biologist, working on the problem of genetics of aging and life extension. I'm a member of "Science for life extention" Foundation, I take an active part in science communication, write SciPop books on biology of aging, etc.

My other great interest documentary photography and filmmaking. I’m working in ethnographic photojournalism and made 2 documentary films about Mongolia and Chukotka.

Well, also I'm in for travelling, I've spent months outdoors visiting countries from USA to China and Jordan, I went hiking in Himalayas, hitchhiked all over Far East, met bears and whales, rode camels in Oman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visited Baikonur Cosmodrome to see the launch of the satellite. Unfortunately, it was too hazy - we were standing in about 100 metres from it but couldn't see practicallly anything. But the sound was cool!

Met a bear near the tent while trekking on Sakhalin - Russian Far East

Climbed on 6 300 metres mountain in Indian Himalayas

Hitchhiked all over Russian Far East - from Vladivostok to Kamchatka and Sakhalin

Stayed several nights in the desert in Oman
