ABOUT ME

I am a dreamer that likes to put dreams into action. Some people for some reasons like to challenge dreamers and try to prove to them, realizing dreams is not possible. I like to prove them wrong. I have worked all over Europe, spend good 5 years living in the UK, for the past 4 years my home has been in France and, since this was one of the ‘impossible’ dreams, it makes me happy.

Im an eco-business woman: I run an online shop that promotes eco-menstrual alternatives to pads and tampons. If you have never heard about a menstrual cup, ask me, I will tell you ALL about it; and I am also a freelancer in electric vehicles field. And this one I am also quite passionate about and can talk A LOT (warning!).

Communicating with or without words, despite linguistic barriers, this is what I love about travelling and couchsurfing. I discover myself and others, cross my limits and open up to the world with every travel more. And can never have enough.

I have a passion for eating. I will eat or at least try anything and there are very few things I don’t like, it doesn’t matter if it’s raw, bug-like, or has a strange color. Introduce me to a new flavour, spice or share a cooking secret with me and I will love you:). I cook as well and VEGETABLES are my thing. Mhmmm beetroot!

I try to live green, I even made myself study an eco-master. Not sure how it is going to contribute to my overall greenness (I haven’t been able to turn into a plant and do a photosynthesis so can’t call it a full success), but hey, it was an adventure and definitely broadened my perspective.

Fun 'about me' fact - I met my husband via couchsurfing. He has since become my favorite and best travel buddy and, daily, a life soulmate. conclusion - couchsurfing IS lifechaging experience.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed in Dublin, Limassol (Cyprus), Prague, Bordeaux, Toulouse, Porto, a couple of places in China, once in Azerbaijan and once in Georgia(all great experiences). I hosted people in the UK and Poland, when in France I am part of the local couchsurfing group.

I am an ecclectic reader, I like to mix what I read and let the books fall into my hands, rather than follow reviews. I reach out for authors I have never heard of from countries I know little about.

music. Well, I like the world music, especially anything that has drumms in it.
films. I don't watch horrors. the rest depends on my mood.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

I hitchhiked with my mum and my sister from Poland all the way to Portugal.

I crossed almost entire continent (from Spanish border with Portugal to Poland) hitchhiking with no documents, no clothes and 35 euros in my pocket. Got home with 30 euros, a bag of clothes and memories of all the people that helped me when I really needed it, even though they never met me before. Now I know even in the overly-capitalist and individualistic Europe there are people whose kindness could move mountains.

I spent 8 weeks looking after Scottish potatoes.

I survived 24 hours in an overcrowded post-chinese new year train from Guilin to Beijing. The chinese girl with whom I was pressed against the sink with didnt speak English, but we communicated and looked after each other troughout the journey like two sisters. It was an amazing lesson of what a non-linguistic communication can do when to beings with open hearts meet.
