Über mich
I am a 40 years old divorced mother of 2, but that doesn't describe who I am. At heart, I am a world traveler. I want to see the whole world, with my backpack and as little personal belonging as I possibly can. I would be comfortable traveling by myself but would prefer the company of a loved one or a friend. I love reading, culture in general, anything outdoors. Basically I am a Happiness junkie. Well behaved, clean, brought up in an awesome family with good values. Right now I am living my life according to the "normal" North American way of doing things, mainly because I have shared custody of my kids so I must stay put for now, but deep down I am a free spirit who longs to be roaming the world free of daily duties. I am a member of the local Search of Rescue where I live. It is very busy, we get called out often, and I love it. I am a Mountain junkie.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
Everywhere I have traveled I find mingling with the locals is the best way to get to experience that place. Best way to meet interesting people, and make new connections.
Interessen
I love the outdoors. I enjoy all the seasons in Canada but I must say I prefer the heat over the cold. I love hiking, skiing, swimming, sightseeing, museums, art galleries, local pubs/restaurants. I love reading. Sitting around a camp fire. Camping, snowshoeing. Chatting with people, meditating, knitting, cooking, going to concerts... lots of things really.

Musik, Filme und Bücher
Favourite books... Ken Follett "The Pillars of the Earth" and Noah Gordon "The Physician".
Movies Im not sure actually, anything sci-fi and lots of documentaries.
Music, I love Pink Floyd but tend to listen to Alternative music more than anything else.
Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
I have traveled everywhere in Canada in my early 20s for work, which led me to move across the country and establish roots in Alberta.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I always have something new on the go. I taught myself how to knit. I can knit some pretty cool things. I know 2 languages and am so-so in Spanish, and that was just because I wanted to learn. Teaching... well I have kids so the life lessons and things to teach to them are never ending, and I love that!
In travelling the most important thing to me is experience the places I go to. I do not go to resorts and stay on the resorts. I have been on resorts but don't stay there, go venture!
Was ich mit Gastgebern teilen kann
My joy of life I would say. Some life experiences too I am sure. I'm passionate about life really. And I can help around with cooking meals while I am there.
