Overview
About Me
I am originally from Moldova (tiny country in Easter Europe), however I have lived and studied in the UK for the past 4 years. I took my university course in Manchester, UK and went on year abroad to Japan, where I had the best travel experience of my life. I am now working in Sweden, Gothenburg and haven't couch-surfed in a while, but would like to take it up again.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling and during my year abroad in Japan, Couchsurfing has been a great help for finding a place to stay, as well as connecting with local people. I had the best time with some of the hosts and am looking forward to expanding on my Couchsurfing experience.
Interests
I love dancing. I started taking Ballroom and Latin dance classes in my first year of uni and it very quickly became my passion. I am not the best dancer you'll ever see, but I'm just gonna keep doing it as long as I have fun. I obviously like traveling and experiencing new things (since I'm here on couchsurfing) and love taking pictures and writing about these experiences on my blog. And of course, food! Love cooking, love trying new dishes. If I travel abroad, I WILL go for the local specialties. And last but no least - science (I mean, I spent 4 years learning what I love in uni).

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: anything that makes me want to dance (reggaeton baby!) or sing along (classic Wonderwall by Oasis for example) Movies: If I'm super busy then a rom-com is best because it helps me relax. Last series I watched though was 'Atypical' on Netflix and I thought it was really good as it touched on the subject of autism, quite an unexplored area in the movie industry in my opinion. Books: I'll go for the classic 'Pride and Prejudice', as it's quite an inspiring piece, portraying, with a bit of irony, the societal pressure of having a good status and conveying how mistaken prejudiced individuals can be. Also, biographies and autobiographies are fun, can learn a lot from big people :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Saw the Northern Lights in Trømso, Norway.
In the company of my beloved housemates, lying on a frozen lake, chasing away the cold with mulled wine in a thermos 👌🏻
Teach, Learn, Share
Interested in salsa, ballroom or latin? I am no expert, but can totally try to teach them. It's so much fun!!!
