About Me

Hello, I'm Natalia, I'm Brazilian but currently I'm living in Nantes, France, to do my double degree in wood engineering. I've been here since September 2018, where I live with a family from here. I am really fascinated by French culture, however, when I have a time, I love traveling to meet new places and different cultures!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm at Couchsurfing because I believe a trip can be so much more than just taking pictures of famous places. I want to be in the place and really live this experience, immerse myself in a different culture and meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Since very young my addiction was to watch series! I've seen many series before Netflix even exists, but I confess that now with so many releases I'm kind of outdated. The first series I saw was Friends, and remains one of my favorites. I love sitcoms.

As for music, I could say that I like everything. I love knowing new artists and songs. I especially love indie music, and lately I'm really into artists with an "electronic style" like Metronomy and Caravan Palace.
In fact, I'm not much of just listening to ONE band or singer repeatedly, so my playlist on Spotify is a mess of songs and styles! I love it when a friend of mine tells me "I have a song that you will like" lol

I am not a great reader (as I was once), but I have been trying to retake the habit of reading in my life. From time to time I read some book that interests me, and I'm re-starting with simpler and shorter books so I do not give up lol So if you have any tips from a book for me, I'll love it!

Oh, I also love video games, even if I'm not so good at most of them! :(

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most incredible thing I did was have been able to come to France. My dream, from a very young age, was to visit other countries. And now I'm in a European country to live for 2 years. Having achieved this through my studies in engineering is something that makes me proud of myself!

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak Portuguese, English and French. My English and French are not perfect, but I think I can keep talking for a few days in just one of these languages if you want to learn or practice a little (because I need it too lol).

I'm not a great cooker, but I like taking chances in the kitchen sometimes. But most of all, I love eating, trying new foods and watching other people cooking.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can practice some of the languages I know if you want. And I also love talking about my country of origin, Brazil, so you'll probably know a lot about my culture lol.
I also know how to be an organized person when I'm in someone else's house, so for me one way to give back to a host is to leave the place clean as it was before.

Belgium, England, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Scotland, Slovakia, Spain, Wales
