About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Work with kids, teach ethnography, travel and enjoy life :)

ABOUT ME

All about me... hmm... I like this kind of questions, really ;) Well, I'm still searching for an idea what to do in life in a long term perspective, currently experimenting with being a teacher. I live in Warsaw renting a flat with two friends but I'm a village girl in the heart and I try to take every opportunity to get out of the city. I am open to meeting new people, learning about different places, lifestyles and cultures. I like sharing ideas, long conversations, getting inspired by others.

PHILOSOPHY

Be faithful to myself and my values.
Give a chance to my dreams, do something rather than sit and wait for a miracle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Being a counsellor on a summer camp for individuals with intellectual disabilities in the US: learning to communicate with them, to understand them, learning from them how to enjoy every moment and be happy of your achievements no matter how small they may seem.
- Spending an African Chrtistmas with a Zambian community in Portland, Maine: being wonderfully hosted by people that I'd met a day before, eating kasawa and goat instead of traditional Polish Christmas stuff.
- Doing an ethnographic research among Native Americans: living on the reservation, participating in a Powwow and a Full Moon Ceremony - when women worship the moon which is considered to be a great grandmother of all women.
- Living in a Thai village: helping to build a hospital, working on a corn field and participating in a harvest ceremony, communicating with the locals in a sign language.

Teach, Learn, Share
