About Me
CURRENT MISSION
For the third time in my life moving to a new country (Canada) to start my master's in Cultural Studies, and also enjoy as much as possible of this second largest country in the world!
ABOUT ME
I was born and lived all my life in Mexico City, travelled little, studied and work a lot. Three years ago I left everything behind to move to Edinburgh and start a new adventure. Miss the sun but love the idea of being in a place where culture and nature are so greatly appreciated! Now I am going back to the continent to experience life in the North and learn more about myself, immigration and unspoiled nature.
For now I work at the University of Edinburgh, helping in the enormous task of making research freely available online. In some weeks I shall be heading back with my hometown Mexico City to enjoy the good food and warmth before parting to Canada.
PHILOSOPHY
Be brave!; Listen and understand, don't judge.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In the past I've been lucky to host people through this website and friends of friends. I am always happy to hear about other places, cultures and perspectives. I am yet to experience being someone's couchsurfer and I do hope I can make it happen soon.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Since arriving in Edinburgh three years ago, I have offered a place in my home. Some through this website, some just as favours for friends, but I always try to help whenever I can.
Interests
Journalism, discussing and watching films, cats, reading books adapted for movies, nature, hiking, contact sports, beautiful landscapes and inspiring places, writing whenever I can, any kind of dancing but specially salsa, getting to know the local music scene whenever its possible, baking anything sweet really.
