I am a video editor and filmmaker with a huge passion for documentary. I am half Greek, half Russian but having grown up in Greece I don't speak a word of Russian except for complex dish names which I use to impress Russians. I have lived in Greece, Italy, England and Scotland so I identify myself as a European but also tend to feel at home where there's a bed even when travelling outside mother Europe. I love spending time with my wonderful Italian other half and my chubby Scottish cat, going to all sorts of gigs and festivals, watching all sorts of movies, eating huge quantities of food from around the world (even combining them... have you tried eating jerk chicken and won ton at the same time?) and of course travelling and mostly dreaming about travelling - to the point where I get headaches after hours of talking about the places I want to see with every single person I meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Even when I already have a place to stay where I travel, I like meeting people through CS for a drink or a walk to get a quick taste of their city through a pair of local eyes and try to find out what's under the place's postcard surface.
When my boyfriend and I move to a bigger flat in the future we would love to host too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My boyfriend and I filmed a feature length documentary on the heavy metal scene in Botswana (yes, there's a crazy heavy metal scene in Botswana!). The filming lasted 3 weeks and it was the most intense, interesting and bizarre experience of our lives.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help you practice your Greek or Italian if you are in the process of learning one of the two languages. Same applies to me with Spanish, I always feel I need to practice it and get some brutal correction sessions.
I also love sharing food, all kinds of food, the weirder the better. I tried raw jellyfish in Japan and still recall the experience at least once a week. I eat everything except for canned tuna. I hate canned tuna.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can bring you some Greek or Scottish delicacies (ranging from masticha to shortbread) or help you practice your Greek/Italian :)
I can also share my passion about and tips on visiting Japan, the most beautiful and interesting place I have been so far, where I was lucky enough to share many wonderful experiences with fantastic locals.
