Overview
About Me
My name is Natalia, I am a freelance translator, and I have two daughters (8 and 12) and a cat, Lana. I also teach part-time English at local public schools to teenagers. I am obviously a feminist. I like a good conversation over some wine and good music. I am a very independent person who likes to improvise and learn new things on the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been in Couchsurfing for some years because I wanted to host when I lived in Mendoza, but never got the chance to do so (in 2010 it was not so common to host in Argentina as it is now).
Now I want to tour a bit around Europe for my 40th birthday and I would love to stay with a local so I get to learn more about the city and, most importantly, the culture and way of living.
Interests
I have recently turned 40 and my family gifted me a ticket to visit my best friend in France, and I will take the opportunity to tour a bit around those cities I never got to visit when I went there some years ago.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Science Fiction and my favorite book is Brave New World. But I have to be honest, I work reading and writing, so I don't get much room to continue reading on my free time.
I love 70s and 80s rock, and I listen to some current music.
As regards series, I watch selectively, not because it is on Netflix it is worth my time. I love some old TV series like Life on Mars (the British one) or Breaking Bad. I am currently watching This is Us, and I love it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am pretty much a regular person. I think the most incredible thing I have done is being a mother, since watching them grow to be fully independent and strong women is the most incredible thing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to help locals improve their Spanish, or maybe practice some English.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would be more than willing to offer in exchange a room in my apartment in San Luis, as well as an apartment my family owns in Buenos Aires.
Of course, I'll bring souvenirs (I wished I could bring a good Wine from Mendoza, but I am traveling light), but I'll make sure to find something that suits your personality and tells a bit about my country as well.
I will be out all day getting to know the city, and if I'm lucky I'll get to see a concert, or maybe only just go to a local bar to listen to some good music. I am not planning on getting back late, since my main objective on this trip is to visit the cultural, historical, and architectonic sites your city has to offer.
